In April of 2022, we held an open discussion where you all came, listened to our playwright Ifa Bayeza and her work, and told us how you felt. Here are some quotes and pictures from that day:
“... I found myself tracking three different kinds of spaces – spaces of transition or uncertainty… Oberlin as a place that people pass through on their way to Canada, a place where people like John Price can be superficially, but never totally safe, a space of doing something dangerous, irrevocable, at a moral as well as physical crossroads.”
“The character of John Price is such an important one… He forces us to confront the human and physical at the center of the historical, social, and political. Fragility and physical pain at the heart of this powerful story of danger and hope and perseverance… It’s an exciting project and I continue to look forward to seeing where it goes.”
